Dear all
We had a very successful, well supported AGM on 4th October 2013. The total raised from the Holland Ride for the Who Cares? Trust eventually rose to a magnificent £45,008 and from the March ride £3044 raised for the Namibia and Bulgarian projects. The Joining Up project in Bulgaria, funded by BfCiC is taking place this week and the children in Namibia will receive blankets, food parcels and school equipment in the next couple of weeks. Congratulations and many thanks for all your sponsorship raising! We have good reason to feel very impressed with ourselves over our achievements this year. If you have more cheques or on line sponsorship to come in please send it in or let us know so it can go towards our 2014 total.
We are proposing a long distance ride in Northern France next year. The dates will be 19th June to 24th June 2014 and the March ride will be on Saturday 1st March (not the 8th .. due to a rugby match in Twickenham).
We are proposing carrying out a skills audit of BfCiC members for the Who Cares? Trust so if you have a skill or expertise you think may be relevant or could share with young people or could do a presentation on or if you could offer any particular assistance for young people leaving care or for foster carers then please can you let us know.
Sammy Farrington is working on our website and I will send you something out about that soon
Have a good October
Best wishes
Gill and the BfCiC planning and support team
